Chromebook Accessibility: Magnification on Chromebook |
Sometimes it is helpful to make everything on your screen bigger or smaller. Or maybe you want everything to stay the same size, but you need to zoom in closer. Follow each of the instructions below.
To increase or decrease the size of what is on your screen:
- Press the Ctrl button and the plus sign button to zoom in to make everything bigger.
- Press the Ctrl button and the minus sign button to zoom out to make everything smaller.
- You can also reset the zoom back to normal quickly by pressing Ctrl and 0.
- As you zoom in or out, you'll see a brief pop-up showing what percentage you have set your Zoom to each time.
To increase or decrease the size of what is on your screen in one particular browser tab:
- Click the three dots in the upper right corner of your browser. Choose the option to increase or decrease Zoom just for that tab.
To magnify the entire screen:
- Press Ctrl, Search (the magnifying glass icon key located just above your "Shift" key), and m.
- You'll be asked to confirm that you want to magnify the screen — hit Continue to do so, then navigate using your trackpad.
- You can toggle out of the Full-Screen Magnifier by pressing ESC or Ctrl+Search+M again.
