Report Cards and Transcripts |
Georgia Cyber Academy requires that the enrolling legal guardian of the student provide GCA with an unofficial copy of a report card (for enrolling grades 2-8) and an unofficial transcript with credits earned for grades 9-12. The Georgia Department of Education along with GCA requires that if you are transferring to another public school, this important enrollment document must be provided.
If you do not, your application will be denied.
It is suggested that parents keep student records close at hand throughout the school year and submit during the GCA enrollment cycle.
Enrolling Grades K-1
- A report card/ progress report is not required, but helps for grade level placement.
Enrolling Grades 2-8
- Report cards provided must show the following
- Previous School name
- Student name
- Student grade level
- Class subjects and grades
Enrolling Grades 9-12
- Transcripts provided must show the following
- School name
- Student name
- Class subjects with credits earned
- Total number of credits earned*
- *The number of credits earned will reflect the grade level for enrollment. Please see below credits and grade levels:
- 0-4.5 credits - 9th grade
- 5+ credits - Sophomore
- 11+ credits - Junior
- 17+ credits - Senior
- Your name, address, and date of birth
- The name of your school
- The courses you’ve taken and when you took them
- Your grades for each grading period
- The weight of each grade (grades in higher-level courses like AP are often worth more than the same grade in a standard course)
- The number of credits you earned for each course
- Your cumulative GPA
- Your scores on AP Exams, the SAT, or other standardized tests
- Any academic honors you’ve received
If the transcript indicates a gap in school enrollment, the parent must provide the GCA Missing Attendance Form to fill in the gap in education. Please note! If the correct document is not provided, is not legible or doesn’t have all the required information to show, the enrollment application will be denied.
If your enrolling high school student was homeschooled, you will need to complete entirely the GCA Homeschool High School Transcript Form. This form must be filled out completely, based on the students grade level, grades and credits earned for each high school course. Please note! For high school students that are homeschooled, students will have to pass the corresponding EOC exam, when applicable, in order to receive credit as noted on this form.
*Even though our report card requirements are firm, depending on the time of year in which you wish to enroll, there are other documents we may also accept to establish grade level placement. You can reach out to our enrollment team at enrollment@georgiacyber.org for details at the time of enrollment*
