Re-Registration Frequently Asked Questions |
How can I re-register my current GCA student?
You can find the instructions here.
How can I enroll a sibling of my current GCA student?
During the re-registration time frame, you may add siblings to the re-registration application. This is the preferred way for adding siblings. In the student section of the application you will click Add New Student to add sibling(s). In addition to adding the sibling to the application, the parent must upload all required enrollment documents for the sibling.
Adding a sibling after your re-registration application has been approved requires sending an email to enrollment@georgiacyber.org. In the email, please provide the student ID number of the current GCA student. You will be asked to complete a new application for the sibling and upload all the required documentation, including a proof of residence.
What if all my students are not listed on my re-registration application?
If your student(s) is/are not listed, or the application states you have no guardian rights for any student, STOP completing the application and reach out to your Family Engagement Liaison (FEL) to have your household information corrected.
Do I have to fill out the Affidavit of Residence again for re-registration?
Yes. A GCA Affidavit Of Residence must be completed every year if you reside in a home you do not own and you do not have a rental agreement. It must include both your signature and the homeowner's signature and must be notarized.
If one of my students was withdrawn for truancy this school year, can I add them as a sibling on the re-registration application for next year?
Yes, you may add the sibling to the application.
Will GCA accept out of state health forms?
No. Since GCA is a Georgia public charter school, we will only accept Health forms from the GA Department of Health. Any out of state form will have to be transcribed by a pediatrician in the state of GA.
If I am missing a required enrollment document for the current school year, can I still complete re-registration?
Yes you can complete the application, but it will be processed as denied. Once the Records & Enrollment team receives the missing document, your application will be processed. Please note! All students in your household are affected by the denied or ineligible status until all students and their missing enrollment documents are turned in.
Doesn’t my student's current enrollment roll over to the next school year?
No. You must complete a re-registration application in your Parent Infinite Campus account to enroll for next school year. Without an approved re-registration application, your student(s) enrollment will end this school year.
Do I need to enter the lottery for re-registration?
No. Only new families that are not currently enrolled will need to start from Lotterease. If you are a current family, you will complete the re-registration application from your Parent Infinite Campus account.
I am a Learning Coach, but not the legal guardian. Can I complete the re-registration application in my Infinite Campus account?
No. Only legal guardians are able to complete the re-registration application in their own Parent Infinite Campus account.

registering (located in the student’s section of the application). You will not have to submit a proof of residence in the application. Also, if plans change and you decide you wish to come back, you will have an application on file we can process.
I only have a graduating student. Do I still need to complete the re-registration application?

Please reach out to your Family Engagement Liaison (FEL) with any questions.
Can I re-register my stepchild?
The legal guardian must re-register the student. The legal guardian is listed on the birth certificate, or court adoption records, or court custody documentation.
