Submitting an Assignment in Canvas From Your Google Drive |
When a teacher provides a copy of something in Google (slides, doc, sheets) for an assignment and you need to submit your completed assignment, you can do so from your Google Drive. See the instructions below.
- If you are working from a personal computer, you will first need to make sure your GCA Google account is synced in a Chrome browser.
- If you are logged into a GCA-issued Chromebook or logged into a personal Chromebook with ONLY the GCA Google account, continue with the instructions below.
1. Upon opening the assignment in Canvas, you will see an option with 3 dots. Click on the 3 dots More and choose Google Apps.
2. If you have never authorized your Google Drive in Canvas, you will need to choose Authorize, then choose your GCA student email address and choose Allow. If you have already taken this action before, you will skip straight to Step 3.
3. Your Google Drive files will open up for you to choose from. You can look in folders or choose the file by clicking on it. Choose the Select button.
4. Click the Submit button.
5. Finally, choose to Submit Assignment.
