At Georgia Cyber Academy, we recognize that Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can enhance your learning by offering support, inspiration, and feedback. However, it’s essential that AI is used responsibly, ethically, and in a way that supports your growth and academic integrity.

🔑 Guiding Principles for Student Use of AI

1. Use AI to understand, not shortcut. AI can help clarify your understanding,
   but it should never replace your own reading, thinking, or work. Ask it to
   explain, not to do.
2. Use AI to learn, not just to finish. Your goal should always be to grow your
   skills, not just check off an assignment. Let AI support your learning, not
   replace it.
3. Use AI as a tutor, not a reader. AI can help you talk through confusing text,
   like a peer study partner. But you still need to read and engage with the
   material yourself.
4. Use AI as a tool, not a substitute. It’s okay to brainstorm with AI or ask for
   structure tips—but your ideas, your writing, and your voice should always
   come first.

📚 Citing AI Use

If you use AI to help with an assignment (even just to brainstorm or rewrite a
sentence), you must give credit, just like you would for a human source. Limit
direct quotes from AI to a few sentences, and never submit AI-generated content as your own.
