Personalizing Your Canvas Dashboard Card View |
Customize the Card View of your Canvas Dashboard in the following ways:
1. You can add a nickname to your Course Cards, adding the time the class meets, or other helpful information.
Choose the three (3) dots in the upper right corner of the Course Card
Enter the Nickname you would like to use for the Course
Click Apply
*Nicknames are only visible on your Canvas Dashboard, in both the Card View and the List View, nowhere else.
2) You can move your Course Cards around to put them in any order.
Choose the three (3) dots in the upper right corner of the Course Card
Choose the Move tab
Each of the options listed will move the course card:
First on the Dashboarod
Up one position
Down one position
Last on the Dashboard
Courses that have been chosen as Favorites in All Courses will show up on the Dashboard
Choosing to Unfavorite a course here will remove it from the Dashboard, but not from your Courses
3) You can choose the font color on the Course Card.
Choose the three (3) dots in the upper right corner of the Course Card
Choose the Color tab and choose a color
Click Apply
4) Choosing a Color Overlay on the Dashboard uses the font color as a colored overlay on the image of the Course Card. Choose a different color for each Course Card or the same for all of them.
