Adding Media to a Kami Assignment |
You may be asked to upload a photo or video to a Kami assignment. Follow these instructions.
Find your Kami assignment in Canvas and open it. You may or may not be required to load it in a new window or tab of your Chrome browser. If you do open it in a new window, follow the screenshots below.
Always use your GCA account.
Scroll down to see the button to Allow.
When your Kami assignment is open, you may choose to upload media using the icons on the left. You can choose to use the following.
1. The camera on your computer. This will allow you to open the camera while still in the Kami assignment, take the photo, and click to place it on your assignment. You will need to allow your camera on the Kami page.
Once the photo is taken, you will see it in your Kami assignment and when you click, it will drop on to the page wherever you placed it.
Once you have dropped it, you will see editing tools such as cropping and turning the photo.
2. The files on your computer. This will allow you to use a media file or photo you took earlier that is stored on your device.
On a Chromebook, you will find your saved images under My Files, then Camera. Click on the image you would like to use for your assignment, then choose Open.
Once you are sure of your embedded photos in Kami, use the Submit button in the top right corner.
Confirm your submission. After you click Submit, you will see the assignment being saved to your Google Drive, then submitted.
