| Adjusting the Language on your Chromebook |
If you need to change the language on your Chromebook, follow these instructions. The instructions will give you visual cues of the icons to click on so that you can easily change the language, even if you cannot read the words.
Chromebook languages are chosen by the user of the Chromebook, not by GCA.
Click on the battery wifi icons in the lower right corner, then choose the gear icon for Chromebook settings.
Find the gear icon on the left sidebar, then the translation icon, as shown below.
Type English in the search bar and scroll to click on English (United States)
After choosing English (United States), the button in the lower right corner will turn blue. Click on it to confirm and restart your Chromebook.
Your Chromebook will have a brief black screen as it restarts. At the next screen, you will log in with your GCA Google password.
You will now see language on your Chromebook restored to English.
