| CoughDrop: Pinning (Locking) & Unpinning an App on a Fire Tablet |
When you receive your tablet, the communication app will be “pinned to the screen” to help keep the device focused on communication. I have created a video to show you how to unpin the app so that you can connect your tablet to your home Wi-Fi. Connecting to Wi-Fi is important for your device to sync any changes made online by you, your speech therapist or teachers.
Step 1. Locate the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen
Step 2. Unpin the App from the screen by pressing and holding the back button △ and the app changer button ▢ at the same time. Use two fingers to hold the back button △ and the app changer button ▢ to unlock the app from the screen.
Step 3. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and then press the home screen button ◍
Step 4. Select Settings
Step 5. Select Internet
Step 6. Select Wi-Fi preferences
Step 6. Select your home Wi-Fi network and input your password to connect
Step 7. Open the CoughDrop app and tap the ▢ app switcher button select the caret symbol "V"
Step 8. Select Pin
