Canvas Assignments with Annotations |
The following instructions describe how to use annotations in a Canvas assignment.
Please note: not all assignments will allow annotations.
1. Any assignment that allows annotations will provide the annotations button, as shown below. Click on it to begin the assignment.
2. Use the following options to annotate the document that is now loaded.
This option allows you to place a pin anywhere on the document and add your comment. Click the trash icon to remove your pin, if needed.
This option allows you to highlight anywhere on the document. If you would like to add a comment, choose the option on the right to add it. Click the trash icon to remove your highlight, if needed.
This option allows you to add text anywhere on the document. Click the trash icon to remove your text, if needed.
This option allows you to strike through (cross out) any text on the document. If you would like to add a comment about your strike through, choose the option on the right to add it. Click the trash icon to remove your text, if needed.
This option allows you to add freestyle notes anywhere on the document. If you would like to add a comment about your freestyle note, choose the option on the right to add it. Click the trash icon to remove your freestyle note, if needed.
This option allows you to add a box anywhere on the document and link it to your comment about your boxed area. Click the trash icon to remove your box and comment, if needed.
3. Submit the assignment when you are finished with all your annotations.
