How to Activate the Caps Lock Function on a GCA Chromebook
|
✨ Thank you, Emma, for this January Tech Tip! ✨
For your class, you may need to type in all uppercase letters for papers, assignments, etc. Or, you may want to write with uppercase letters because it's your personal choice (just be mindful because all caps can be interpreted as you yelling at the reader). But, on the GCA Chromebook, there is no caps lock that allows students to type in all caps easily. That's where this tip comes is helpful.
Instead of having to hold down the shift key as you type every single letter, you can push down the magnifying glass (on the left-hand side) and one of the alt keys.

This will activate caps lock, and you can type in uppercase letters for as much as you, please. Then, when you need to turn off the caps lock, or switch back to lowercase, all you have to do is click one of the shift keys.
