Your Known Senders List on an Android

How to Ensure You Receive School Text Messages

To make sure you don't miss important automated updates and alerts from our school, please follow these quick steps to check your message folders and approve our phone numbers 404-334-4790 and 855-641-5322. 

 

Step 1: Open the Messages app

Step 2: Check the Unknown Senders or Spam Folder

  1. In the Messages app, tap the three dots or use the search option in the upper-right corner.

2. Select Spam & blocked.

3. Open the message from the number you want to add

4. Tap Add to contacts

5. You may need to "Create a new contact or Add to existing contact."

6. Future messages from this number will now go to your main inbox (Conversations).

   ⭐ Recommended: Save the School Number as a Contact

  1. Open the school text message.
  2. Tap the phone number at the top of the conversation.
  3. Select Create New Contact at the next screen.
  4. Save it with a recognizable name, such as:
    • GCA School Alerts
    • GCA Notifications
    • GCA Text Messages

Saving the number as a contact helps ensure future messages are delivered directly to your inbox.

📌 Important

Until you mark the sender as known or save the number as a contact, future school text messages may continue to be filtered into Unknown Senders or Spam.

Taking a minute to complete these steps helps ensure you receive important updates from our school without interruption.
