Your Known Senders List on an iPhone

How to Ensure You Receive School Text Messages

To make sure you don't miss important automated updates and alerts from our school, please follow these quick steps to check your message folders and approve our phone numbers 404-334-4790 and 855-641-5322. 

 

Step 1: Open the Messages app

Step 2: Check the Unknown Senders or Spam Folder

  1. In the Messages app, tap the filter/menu icon in the upper-right corner and search for messages from 404-334-4790 and 855-641-5322.
  2. Select Unknown Senders.  If you still don't see the message, 
  3. Check the Spam folder.

Still can't find the message?

Your iPhone may be filtering unknown senders. Turning this setting off allows messages from new numbers, including school notifications, to appear in your regular inbox.

  1. Open the Message Filtering menu.
  2. Turn off Screen Unknown Senders.
  3. Return to your Messages inbox and look again.

Step 3: Mark the school message as known 

Once you locate a message from the school:

  • Open the message.
  • Tap Mark as Known or Not Spam (if prompted).

⭐ Recommended: Save the School Number as a Contact

  1. Open the school text message.
  2. Tap the phone number at the top of the conversation.
  3. Select Create New Contact at the next screen.
  4. Save it with a recognizable name, such as:
    • GCA School Alerts
    • GCA Notifications
    • GCA Text Messages

📌 Important

Until you mark the sender as known or save the number as a contact, future school text messages may continue to be filtered into Unknown Senders or Spam.  Saving the number as a contact helps ensure future messages are delivered directly to your inbox.

Taking a minute to complete these steps helps ensure you receive important updates from our school without interruption.
