Taking the HTML Certification Exam |
You will receive an email from W3Schools when you have been enrolled to take this exam. This email will arrive in your GCA Gmail inbox, found on the Champion Portal page.
Open the email and click on the link for Go to Exam.
If you receive a message that this link is dangerous, please choose Show details, then Open anyway. GCA has confirmed that this is indeed a safe site. If you choose Back to Safety...you will never access the exam. You must choose Show details, then Open anyway.
At the Sign in page, choose Google to log in. Choosing any other option will not allow you to access your exam. Always use your GCA Google account to log in. Then click Continue.
On the next screen, choose Claim access, then Go to exam.
You will land on a page with a list of exams. The only one you can access is HTML. You should see "Not Started" and have the option to start the exam on the far right side. The button to Start Exam will be clickable when your cursor is over the button.
On the next page, scroll down to choose Start adaptive exam, the purple button. Do not choose the standard exam.
Carefully read the instructions! After you click the box for the declaration, the Begin button will be green.
You cannot leave a question unanswered. Once you select an answer, the button at the bottom will turn green.
If you close the tab with the "X" in the top right, you will receive this message. Please note that the timer for this attemp of the test will not reset. It will continue to run and you can only access this attempt for the exam while there is still time remaining.
At any time during your test you may review the instructions under the question mark icon in the top right.
