How to use Annotations on Files in Class |
Annotation tools are a great way for students to actively participate in class by drawing, writing, or highlighting directly on the teacher's shared screen.
The Annotation Toolbar
The toolbar provides several options for interacting with the screen and is located in top middle screen of the launched content in class.
Click on the Red X interact tool to interact with a resource if this option is made available by the teacher. For Example, moving through slides.
Click on the Arrow icon to move annotations.
Click on the Pencil icon to draw freehand lines, circles, or underline words.
Click on the Square icon to for pre-set shapes like squares and circles
Click on the Textbox icon to type words directly onto the shared screen.
Click on the Circle icon to select outline and fill color for lines and shapes.
Selecting Style and Colors
Once a tool (Pencil, shape or text) is selected, you can often customize its appearance.
A Color Picker will appear, allowing you to choose the exact color you want to use. * For shapes, you may see options for both "Outline color" (the border) and "Fill color" (the inside of the shape).
Click on your desired color before marking the screen.
Pro-Tip for Students: Encourage your student to choose a bright, contrasting color (like red, yellow, or light blue) so their markings stand out on the teacher's screen.
