Turn on Audio Notifications in Class |
Students can now enable audio alerts to receive real-time notifications for important messages, such as teacher broadcasts or direct messages.
Enabling these settings helps prevent a student from missing important class communication.
Locate the Settings Icon
In the top right corner of the class session window, locate and click the Gear Icon (⚙️). This icon opens the main application menu.
Navigate to Notifications and Play audio
Once the Settings menu appears, look at the sidebar on the left. Click on the Notifications option.
On the right side of the screen, under the heading Personal notification settings, you will see different message types. Focus on the column labeled Play audio.
The toggle switches can be activated for the following three categories:
- Broadcast Message: Makes sure every student hears the teacher’s announcement.
- Direct message received: This ensures the student hears a message when it is sent directly to them.
- Group message received: This ensures the student hears when a message is sent to a small group they are a part of.
If the toggles are gray or white, they are disabled. Click them to ensure they are activated/purple for audio alerts.
