Private Discussions in Class |
Teachers are able to open a private discussion line with a student in Class. This allows for one-to-one communication on camera and audio when needed.
When a teacher first opens the private discussion, you will need to choose Accept. If you choose Decline or Close, the teacher will call you again.
Important Notes!
- Students cannot use private discussions with one another. Only a teacher can initiate a private disscussion.
- Students are expected to accept when a teacher initiates a discussion. Please don't end the discussion until the teacher releases you.
- This notification will only show up when you are in the Class tab of your browser. If you are working in another tab, you may not see the notification. Teachers may use Securly to alert you to the private discussion in Class.
- As soon as you accept, your microphone is automatically turned on. Please leave it on as the teacher is reaching out to have a conversation with you.
- If you already have your camera on, you will be on camera in the private discussion as well. If not, you may be asked to turn on your camera.
- A private discussion cannot be viewed or heard in the main Class session. It is private.
