| Allowing the Teacher to View Your Screen (Proctor Mode) |
Your teacher may request to view your screen so that they can offer help or proctor an assessment.
**If you are asked to share your screen for proctoring an assessment, you must choose to share your entire screen.**
When the teacher sends you an invite to share your screen, you will see the following message. It is important for proctoring assessments that you choose Select Screen.
In the next pop-up, you must choose each of the following:
1. Choose Entire Screen. Choosing any other option such as a Chrome Tab or Window is not acceptable for proctoring assessments.
2. Click on the picture of your screen to see a line around it
3. Click on the Share button
If the share option does not work and the teacher receives the message "Screen details unavailable-user needs to grant Class permission of window management, please toggle on 'Windows management' in the site settings as seen in the screenshot below and reload the page.
Your own view in Class will not change but you can tell that you are sharing your screen by the Proctor view enabled message under the Classroom tab. Anywhere you go to on your screen/desktop is now visible to the teacher as intended.
If you wish to share a different part of your screen, choose the circular arrows. Remember, for proctoring on assessments, you must share the Entire Screen.
If you're ready to exit the proctor view, choose the white box to stop sharing your screen.
Choose Close from the pop-up.
