Using the Microphone and Video in Class |
When you first join Class, you may see a browser pop-up that asks you to Allow your microphone and camera. Be sure to choose Allow!

The audio should join automatically, but if you see the Join Audio/Unmute microphone button flashing in the lower left-hand corner, go to the browser settings in the browser to unblock the microphone. If the circle next to "microphone" is to the left, it is not enabled, and you must click it to switch it to the right side.
If you cannot hear the teacher, check the browser settings to ensure that the sound is enabled.
If the circle next to "sound" is to the left, it is not enabled, and you must click it to switch it to the right side.
If you continue to have audio issues in Class, try refreshing the Class tab in your browser. You may end up back in the Waiting Room when you rejoin. Don't worry! That is not a technical mistake...your teacher can let you back in.
Once you are in Class, your teacher may allow or disallow the use of microphones and videos in Class. If you are unable to turn on your microphone or video, always ask the teacher first to see if you have permission.
If the teacher confirms that you should be allowed to use them, make sure that they are enabled in the site settings.
Always Reload to update the settings.
Your microphone and video controls are in the lower left side of your Class.
If the teacher is asking you to use your microphone, you may see this message. Click Unmute to use your microphone.
When you are finished speaking, click Mute in the lower left corner to turn off your microphone.
If the teacher is asking you to turn on your video, you may see this message. Click Start My Video.
