Description of the GCA Student Google Email and Password |
All GCA students have a GCA Google account with an email address and password. Every program with GCA requires that the student be logged in to the Chrome browser with their synced GCA student Google account. |
What does the student email look like? | Student emails always begin with the student's first name and their GCA student ID, followed by the domain "@georgiacyber.org" |
How does a student first receive their email address and password? | The Learning Coach for new students will receive their student's email address and password in an email before their first day of enrollment. The email is sent from instructionaltechnology@georgiacyber.org to the Learning Coach email address. |
I am using a personal computer. How should the student log in to the GCA Google account? |
On a personal computer, from a Chrome browser, students should go to accounts.google.com and choose to sign in with the email and password, NOT create a new account. The student's Google account must be synced in Chrome to work correctly on a personal computer. |
I am using a personal Chromebook. How should the student login? | For a personal Chromebook to function correctly with GCA programs, there can be no personal Google account on the same Chromebook. Only log in with the student's GCA Google email and password. No further steps are required. |
I am using a GCA-issued Chromebook. How should the student log in to the device? | GCA-issued Chromebooks require a student account to log in. At the first login screen for the Chromebook, type in the student's GCA Google email and password. No further steps are needed to be in the student's Google account. |
I forgot the password I created for my GCA Student Google account. What should I do? | Submit a ticket in this Help Center and request a password reset. |
