| Adding or Removing a Profile Picture for Google |
You can add or remove a profile picture on your GCA Google account with the following instructions. By default, only the GCA organization will see this profile picture. Please keep in mind that this profile picture may show in Class.
**When adding a picture to your profile, please be sure you are following the Student Dress Code and the Student Code of Conduct in the image. GCA reserves the right to remove any inappropriate or offensive images.**
1. From the Champion Portal page, click on Gmail.
2. Choose your Account after clicking on the Apps, sometimes called the "waffle" in the upper right corner.
3. On the far left side of the screen, choose Personal info. Then select Profile picture.
4. You may choose from one of three options listed.
5. You may choose from preselected illustrations provided by Google. Once you choose one, you may do light edits with the background Color and use the feature to Crop & rotate. Be aware that only the portion in the circle will show in your profile. Then choose Save as profile.
6. You may upload a screenshot from your device. On a Chromebook, this option will direct you to your Downloads and also allow you to choose something from your Google Drive. Select the one you want to use. Then select Open at the bottom.
7. Once you choose one, you may do light edits using the feature to Crop & rotate. Be aware that only the portion in the circle will show in your profile. Then choose Save as profile.
8. You may choose to use your webcam to take a picture. When asked to allow your camera, choose Allow this time and proceed. Click anywhere on the camera area to take the photo, use the light edits for Crop & rotate, and Save as profile picture. Be aware that only the portion in the circle will show in your profile.
9. You may remove your profile picture at any time. Repeat steps 1 through 4 above. Then choose the 3 dots in the upper right corner and choose to Remove profile picture.
You did it! Be patient...it may take 24 hours to update.
