When GCA has processed your Registration Application, you will receive a status update via automated email. In the list below you will find the most common status updates and an explanation of their contents.
**Note! Please play close attention to any automated emails from GCA as they will be an important part of your Registration process.**
Tips about automated Registration status emails.
- All automated status emails are sent from donotreply@georgiacyber.org.
- Please do not reply to these emails. If you have questions about your Registration status, reach out directly to the enrollment team at enrollment@georgiacyber.org or 470-400-7887 during business hours.
- If you find the automated email in your spam or junk folder, please place it in your primary email inbox for the best email quality and access to all hyperlinks.
- The subject line will indicate the preliminary status of your Registration. The details (inlcuding your application number) will be included in the body of the email
- The actions you are required to take are also found in the body of the email...please read it carefully and thoroughly.
Registration Denied
Reasons for Denial, found in the body of your automated email.
1) Update and Re-Submit
Your application is missing some or all required documentation, possibly including transcripts or academic records. Click here for a list of required documentation.
2) Age Requirement
A student listed on your application is too young for Kindergarten or has passed the age limit to be enrolled in a Georgia Public School.
3) Discipline
After review, GCA has determined that a prior discipline incident is the reason for denial.
4) Enrollment Closed
Your application was submitted too late, after the enrollment deadline.
5) Expired
Your application was not completed in the acceptable window of time to do so.
6) Lotterease Required
Your application was completed without going through Lotterease and confirming a seat with GCA.
7) Non-Georgia Resident
Your POR (Proof of Residence) shows that the student resides outside the state of Georgia.
Registration Hold
Reasons for Hold, found in the body of your automated email.
1) Displaced
Your application is on hold while GCA reviews it to confirm the information provided.
2) Transcripts or Academic Records
Your application is on a courtesy hold until the transcripts or academic records for a 9th - 12th grade student are provided.
3) Discipline
Your application is under review by GCA based on a prior discipline incident.
4) Previous Truancy
The student has a prior history of truancy with GCA. A member of the Family Engagement Team will reach out to you.
Registration Not Registering
Reasons for Not Registering, found in the body of your automated email.
The application has been cancelled by the enrolling Guardian of the student.
Registration Approved
Status of the Approval, found in the body of your automated email.
1) Posted
Your application has been received with a valid Proof of Residence (POR) and all required documents have been received and are on file for the next school year.
2) Conditional
A valid POR (Proof of Residence) is on file and required transcripts or academic records have been received but your application is still missing some required documentation. Click here for a required list of enrollment documentation.
3) Conditionally Displaced
Your application is approved but multiple required documents are still missing. Click here for a required list of enrollment documentation.
