Scheduling a NetTutor Appointment |
NetTutor is a program found in Canvas and available to all GCA students, 24/7, for no charge. You can meet with a live tutor on demand or at a scheduled time if you choose.
To request a scheduled tutoring session, follow these instructions.
**Please be aware that appropriate and respectful behavior and communication are expected from all GCA students using the NetTutor program with a live tutor.
1. You will access NetTutor directly from the Navigation Tab within your Canvas Course.
2. From the Academic Support Dashboard, choose NetTutor Tutoring Center.
3. Select a group to receive tutoring. Your session will be housed in that subject "locker" for access.
4. The next page will offer an option to Schedule an Appointment. This will take you to the appointment slots.
5. Toggle your view to see times that work for you using the options to the right. The view below is of the month, with various times. This will vary based on your subject so keep that in mind when looking at the availability.
6. When you choose a time, a pop-up will show to confirm.
7. Success! You will see a confirmation of your appointment with details.
8. You will also see an email confirmation in your GCA email inbox. *If you do not see it right away, check your Spam folder.*
The email will come from the address: no-reply@link-systems.com
Details sent to your inbox will say, New Appointment Scheduled: (Subject)
9. From the dashboard for the subject locker you will have your scheduled session, and you will see details of your appointment.
10. When you click on it, the calendar will populate in a new tab to show you the calendar of available times again. To see your appointment, choose My Appointments on the top right.
11. The Calendar with your slots will display. When you click on the event, details of your session will show just as they did when first chosen. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, choose the Options icon and complete this request within 24 hours.
A pop up to either cancel or reschedule your appointment will appear.
When you choose Cancel Appointment, you will get a confirmation pop up. This option will cancel your appointment and notify via GCA email as a confirmation.
When you choose Reschedule Appointment, you will be taken back to the calendar with the timeslots to choose from. When you confirm, you will get a notification of cancellation and of the rescheduled session in your GCA email inbox.
12. When it is time to join your session, you will see the Join Session button appear. Note it will only appear 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
