| Updating the Chrome Browser on a Windows Computer |
When you need to update your Chrome browser version on a Windows computer, follow these instructions.
**Your Chrome browser version number should begin with the number 145 or higher.**
In the top right corner of your Chrome browser window, choose the 3 dots and open Settings.
Under the list of Settings on the left side of your screen, choose About Chrome.
Check the three numbers at the beginning of the version number. The first three numbers are the most important and should match the numbers at the beginning of this article. This is the version your Chrome browser is running.
If your Chrome browser needs updating, you will see an option to Check for updates. Click on it to update your browser.
