|Email Invitation to Class
You may be asked to meet with a GCA staff member in a Class session that is not accessible from Canvas. In this case, the staff member will email you a unique link to join the session directly from your email.
GCA students will find this in their Gmail inbox, only one click away on your Champion Portal page.
- The email will come to you from Class, not GCA
- You must attend the Class by clicking on the blue Join your class button in your email (NOT from a Calendar invitation).
- Do not choose to Download Class. This is not necessary and may cause more difficulties getting to the session.
Find the email from Class with the subject of "You are invited to join a class!"
Open the email and scroll down to see the blue Join your class button. Do not choose Download Class.
Clicking on the button for Join your class will open in a new browser tab (if you are in the browser accessing your email account).
If you see the browser pop-up below, always choose Cancel and then Launch Class for Web. Do not choose to download Class.
Once again, do not choose to download Class or launch with Zoom.
You will not be able to join the session without choosing Join Audio. If you see a browser pop-up asking you to allow your microphone, please click Allow.
You may now Join the Class session. Please be patient as the Class loads and the staff member lets you in from the Waiting Room.
